It goes without saying, the last 17 months have been a roller coaster, for reasons too obvious that I don't even have to share. This has had a major impact on the health and wellness space. More and more people have been pushed into taking care of their bodies and minds. My health predictions for 2022 reflect what we can do to empower ourselves to lead a healthier life.

Here's what I predict will be the health and wellness trends for 2022:

1. Boost Immune System Health

Have you ever taken a balance omega fish oil, vitamin D3 with K2, a probiotic, vitamin C, zinc or elderberry supplement recently? If so, you're not alone! I take this daily or weekly to ensure I'm not cutting my body short of the antioxidant benefits that it needs. A continued emphasis on boosting immune system health is sure to be one of the major health trends of 2022.

Not only will people continue to supplement with immune-boosting supplements, but nourishing bone broths will be more popular and often used in home cooking.

2. Prioritizing Mental Health

There's a growing emphasis on mental health and not only taking care of our physical bodies, but our relationships and minds, too. Research has already shown there's been an increase in the risk of mental health problems. Meditation, prayer, mindful exercises like yoga, walks outdoors and more will be important in 2022.

3. Understanding Financial Health

A foundational level of understanding how money and financial systems work is crucial if you want to improve your financial health. Living debt-free, on a budget, and ultimately the feeling of security if a surprise or unforeseen medical condition happens during retirement you don't have to sell your assets! Emphasizing financial health will be a major trend or practice in 2022.

Putting all of the pieces together may be difficult, but there are professionals who can help you get on the right track if you need some help.

4. Home-Grown Herbs and Veggies

Have you ever grown a vegetable or herb garden? 2022 will be a year of people finding and creating ways to grow their favorite veggies or herbs right from their own home. Not only does having a garden call for more time outdoors and getting in touch with nature, but you can also grow your own food and if you have too much, share your abundance with friends and neighbors!

5. Healing in Nature

Getting outdoors is one of the easiest and more beneficial things you can do to promote overall wellness. It's uplifting, calming, and has shown to positively impact your mental health. Studies show that exposure to natural environments is associated with mental health benefits and is an excellent separation from stimulating environments that cause brain fatigue.

Getting more time outdoors is sure to be one of the top health predictions of 2022 because we are all looking for healthy outlets and adventure.

If you're looking to get into trying one of these 2022 trends and your neck pain, back pain, and headaches is causing hesitation and second thoughts then call my office. Let's have a consultation and find out where this discomfort and symptoms is coming from and if we can eliminate them.
